Dave Cates is a native North Carolinian - born in Charlotte and raised in Durham.
Educated at UNC Chapel Hill (after four years in the US Navy) - Dave spent a number of years in Telecommunications before deciding to use his Real Estate training from college.
Dave is married to Andrea and they have two grown sons. Dan resides in Akron, OH and Drew (married to Esther) resides in Pittsburgh, PA. Drew and Esther have three children - Maggie (8), Eli (6) and Josiah (2) who are tons of fun and visit as often as possible.
Dave enjoys the fast paced Real Estate market in the Triangle Area and enjoys every aspect of the Real Estate business. From the excitement of helping young couples find their first home, to the challenge of helping older couples get the most for their family home as they downsize - the privilege of being a Real Estate professional is a joy. Timing can be crucial and the challenge of finding exactly the right home in the allotted time keeps things interesting!
